The Parks Facilities

Our newly refurbished pavilion was officially opened by the Mayor of Sutton Cllr. Rober Landeryou on 22nd May 2003.

The opening was well attended by members of Sutton Council (thanks in particular to Mark Dalzell and John Wade) and local residents. Sutton Council very kindly provided food and drink for the event and FoSCRG member Pam Green brought along an impressively iced celebration cake which the Mayor and Mayoress cut following the presentation and unveiling of the offical plaque. The plaque sponsored by FoSCRG and LBS was the first ever to be unveiled by him bearing his name as Mayor.

We extend our thanks all those who attended with special thanks going to the "Wolves" under 8's and under 9's junior football teams, their parents and coach etc. They had the honour of being the very first teams to use the pavilion.

We all agreed how wonderful it was to see the pavilion being used by the excited youngsters who promptly finished off any remaining food and drink and obtained the Mayors signature on any available spare paper plate.
